Supporting Our Local Community
At RBJ Ltd, we believe in giving back to the Queenstown community that supports us. Through hands-on initiatives, sponsorships, and partnerships, we are proud to contribute to local organisations, clubs, and young talent.
Supporting Local Youth – Sam the Downhill Racer
RBJ is also a proud supporter of Sam, a talented 16-year-old downhill mountain bike racer from Queenstown.
Sam has already claimed titles as the U17 National and Oceania Champion and represented his school at the New Zealand Schools Downhill Championships.
We are excited to sponsor Sam as he continues to pursue his racing goals and represent Queenstown on the national and international stage.
Lake Hayes Boat Sheds – Supporting Local Rowing & Canoe Clubs
RBJ was proud to support the Whakatipu Rowing Club with essential boat storage facilities on the shores of Lake Hayes. Working alongside Parks and Reserves, we successfully secured consent for four boat sheds, two of which we constructed using our apprentice team – providing valuable on-site learning experiences while contributing to the community.
These sheds, now valued at $180,000, provide critical infrastructure not only for the Whakatipu Rowing Club but also for the Queenstown Canoe Club, ensuring local athletes have the facilities they need to thrive.
In addition, RBJ has leveraged our strong trade relationships to negotiate significant savings for the construction of the new clubhouse, helping the club stretch their budget further and complete much-needed improvements.
